Because in no other place of all Mediterranean sea, in all Europe, there is a land so rich in events -and I don’t mind only of folk and traditional festivals - wich is itself a natural marvellous event. That is the reason why a new magazine, this magazine, was born. Born to look whith voyager eyes, to discover and helping to discover any small particular, every hidden landscape, all the different shades of this land, full of colors and sounds and lights. In theese words a truth wich is possible to know simply looking at the valleys, at the sea, at the mountains, at the paths, at the grounds, looking at the people of this island wich from the old age called here every kind of explorers and voyagers. That’s the mainstream of SICILIAevents, this new magazine created to make known the less salty part of divine tear that could be - I like to think so - a joy’s tear. Every three months we’ll purpose to have a look at events that, in some place of the island, are only waiting for you; touristic tours even to discover in a week end, maybe riding through trazzere (mule-tracks) centuries’ old; popular feasts and country festivals that speak of ancient tasts and forgotten games, traditional kitchen coming directly from our grandmothers; the unbelieveble vigour and plurality of small and big towns; the congress centres with their events; all wich regards tourism and special sicilian offers.

SICILIAevents will send you through art and history and traditions and landscapes - even those unknown for the same sicilians - will be your personal magic screen on one reality made of holy beauty. A beauty too long time hidden and forgotten. This is the event wich we’ll celebrate, page after page, in all the future our editions.
